Returns & Refunds
At Petite Pleasures, we want your gourmet food to arrive in excellent condition. If something is wrong with your order, please contact us so we can help.
Change-of-mind returns
We do not accept returns or exchanges of food products for change of mind, including unopened jars and tins. Extra transport and handling can affect product quality, and we cannot verify storage conditions once food has left our care. Please choose carefully and check product descriptions, ingredients and allergen information before ordering.
This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, unsafe, damaged or not as described.
Damaged, faulty or incorrect orders
If your order arrives with a broken jar, leaking container, damaged seal, missing item or incorrect product, or you have a concern about its quality or safety, contact us as soon as possible. Ideally, let us know within 48 hours of delivery so we can investigate promptly. This is a request, not a deadline that limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Email info@petitepleasures.com.au with:
- Your order number or another proof of purchase.
- A short description of the problem and when you noticed it.
- If safe and available, photos of the product, packaging and shipping label, plus the batch number and best-before or use-by date.
If you cannot provide photos, please still contact us. We will discuss another way to assess the problem.
Please contact us before returning food
Please do not post food back without contacting us first. To avoid unnecessary transport and protect food quality, we will aim to assess the issue using your description and photos where possible. We may ask for further information or arrange a return or collection if needed.
Do not taste or consume food you suspect is unsafe, or food from a broken jar or compromised container. Follow the product's storage instructions while awaiting advice. Keep packaging and batch details if safe to do so; you do not need to keep unsafe food. We will advise on safe disposal where appropriate.
If a return is needed for a confirmed product fault or our order error, we will arrange it or cover reasonable return shipping costs. You will not be charged postage for a replacement we send to resolve that issue.
Refunds and replacements
We will assess your concern and provide the remedy required by Australian Consumer Law. For a major problem, you can choose a refund or replacement. For other problems, we will provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.
For a broken jar received on delivery, we offer a replacement at no additional postage cost. This offer does not limit your right to choose a refund where the law provides that choice.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless you agree otherwise. We will confirm the amount and when the refund has been processed; the time it takes to appear in your account depends on your payment provider. Any shipping charges that must be refunded under Australian Consumer Law will also be included.
Your consumer rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These rights apply to sale items as well as full-price purchases. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your statutory rights.
